Of all the Fingerlakes , this is the one that we frequent. Sailing aboard our friends vintage boat, and in the wonderfully clear water, we enjoy this place so much!
I participated in an event at the Memorial Art Gallery called Art Reflected, where artists selected a work from which to take inspiration. Mine was an oval by Braque, from 1913. This was one that is started, and only just finished with the yellow!
Finished this today after weeks, months of work.
Night sketching in pittsford village is a favorite site. Countless hours of sketching here, in all directions as the rowing boats whiz by. Looks a lot like the paintings of Thomas Eakins!
