Linwood Gardens, watercolors

During Memorial Day and the following weekend, my watercolors are on view in the Summer House, along with artist friend, Lanna Pejovic. The tree Peony festival is happening now, and is

worth the trip, open to the public for this wonderful event.

Last summer I spend many days, and some nights, making art at Linwood Gardens. It was a fruitful and intense retreat that allowed for expansion and experimentation. Working on full sheets of watercolor paper, my focus was set on the wonderful gardens filled with exotic plant species. It’s a peaceful place that reminds me of being in Tuscany, but only 50 minutes away by automobile.

Painting Every Day

This begins the cycle of summers decline, September. As the heat rises it could be another glorious summer month. Having accepted a painting-a-day discipline, along with hundreds of other artists nationwide, I expect to be working outdoors and hope for less rain and fewer bugs. Think David Hockney.
